Lisa Cowling's courageous swim for a good cause

Lisa Cowling, a pupil at Springfield Convent Senior School took part in and won the 1.4km Cadiz Youth Day Swim in Camps Bay on Wednesday 16 June.

Braving rough seas, icy weather and 14°C waters, Lisa at the age of 16 was the youngest competitor taking part and on completing her amazing victory said that it felt as if her eye-balls were frozen! She completed the swim in a time of 28 minutes and 45 seconds beating the other 26 brave souls who entered for the swim.
