In a well contested final the evenly-matched sides of Rondebsoch and Wynberg wrestled for supremacy in the short version of the game and it was Rondebosch that came out tops.
The victory was due in large part to the solid effort of Josh Isaacs who carried his bat through the innings in finishing on 35 not out. He batted particularly well against the hostile, searing pace of Mika Ekström.
Earlier, Wynberg had won the toss and Mika decided to bat in as much daylight as possible. Wynberg amassed a modest total of 77 for 5 after their 20 overs. With the outfield being particularly slow runs were hard to come by.
The Rondebosch reply was mainly built on good rotation of the strike and taking the singles on offer. Although the game was delicately poised throughout and could have gone either way the 23 run partnership between Josh and Max Pike took them to a well-deserved win.
