WBJS Top Cricketer - Jordan Holgate

Wynberg Boys Junior School's top cricket award went to U13A captain Jordan Holgate who lead the side with distinction this year.

Jordan received the Allan Lamb Trophy for Cricketer of the Year Honour Award for 2010 as well as the Jacques Kallis Floating Trophy for Best Batsman of the Year Honour Award for 2010 at last night's end-of-year Prize Giving Ceremony.

Jordan scored 689 runs at an average of 36.3 with his highest score being 113 not out vs St Martin's at the St Peter's T20 tournament in October.

The Best Bowler Honour Award for 2010 was awarded to Mika Ekström for his season figures of 35 wickets for 379 runs in 143 overs with an economy rate of 2.65 and best bowling figures of 4/12 vs St Martin's.

Jordan will continue his education at Wynberg Boys High School next year while Mika will move up to Grade 7 at Wynberg Boys Junior School.
