You only need to look as far as the effect of the Springboks winning the 1995 Rugby World Cup and the wonderful display of Bafana Bafana at this year's Football World Cup to be able to provide the indisputable answer to this question: a resounding YES!
 
Watching Bafana Bafana against France in their final game of the group stage was riveting, joyous and thrilling all at once! Although the South African national team did not manage to progress beyond the pool stage, they did bow out in a fine manner by beating the previous World Champions France by two goals to one.
 
The whole of South Africa has stood as one behind their beloved team and the support for Bafana Bafana has been tremendous.
 
Let's now give all our young sports people the support they deserve as they grow in experience and utilise the enormous talent at their disposal to become South Africa's next great sporting heroes!
